Give your leaders a flying start
Leading with a Growth Mindset
Be Learning had the privilege of working closely with Professor Carol Dweck, the pioneer behind the Growth Mindset philosophy, which emphasises that abilities, intelligence, and talents can be developed through persistence, effort, and learning. We share these insights with your leaders to foster a culture of productive thinking, where setbacks are seen as opportunities for growth, ultimately boosting employee satisfaction and retention.

You will learn how to:
-
Create and implement Fabulous Struggle logs
-
Demonstrate support for learning and growth activities that foster new behaviours and goal setting
-
Identify team fixed mindset triggers
-
Incorporate growth mindset techniques into coaching conversations
-
Apply the neuroscience of giving and receiving feedback
-
Set Mastery Goals
It’s okay to be vulnerable while leading others and we all learn from mistakes. We are never too old or fixed in our ways to learn. Your brain can create new pathways and with practice, these become habits. I now appreciate the level of detail needed to set effective goals. Also, the importance of having a setback plan.
Personal Purpose Program
What brings you joy? What are you most proud of? These small questions lead to powerful answers. Our program helps you explore what truly matters, so you can become someone who looks forward to each workday. We’ll guide you in defining core principles and values that align with your purpose, allowing you to live your most important values and find greater meaning in your work.

You will learn how to:
-
Identify and rate your top five core life values
-
Create more meaning in your life by developing your character strengths
-
Align your goals and actions in accordance with your values and strengths

Coaching Skills
Just like on the sportsfield, each employee needs personalised coaching to reach their full professional potential. Sometimes it means more practical workouts, sometimes a conversation about game strategy and utilising strengths, and sometimes letting the employees set their own pace. We give leaders the skills to implement a winning coaching culture across the organisation.

You will learn how to:
-
Understand the nature and benefits of coaching in organisations
-
Recognise when to coach and when not to coach
-
Develop key coaching skills through active practice
-
Apply active listening techniques and curious, open questioning
-
Implement best practice coaching conversations
-
Integrate coaching skills into your leadership practice
The framework established a structure to coaching and definitely added a skill to my list that I appreciate. Amazing coach and material.
I don't think I tuned out AT ALL in the entire duration of this workshop. Overall practical course, using material and examples that are of substance and relevance to the environment. I thought the session was fantastic and really enjoyed it. I would recommend it to others.
Delegation Skills
Successful leaders know that achieving goals requires teamwork. The ability to delegate tasks and authority effectively, while providing the right training and support, is a crucial leadership skill. Our interactive program guides leaders through the process of successful delegation, team alignment, and optimal time management to drive projects forward.
Engaging, provided useful techniques that will help me with the distribution of work in my team.
Effective Feedback Skills
Giving and receiving feedback can be uncomfortable, but delivering it thoughtfully can drive growth. Consider the difference between "You failed to deliver" and "Let’s work on time management strategies to ensure timely delivery." The second approach focuses on process, not personality, and offers a solution. Our program helps leaders and managers practice giving and receiving feedback, with one-on-one coaching and practical tools to apply immediately in the workplace.
This is the best course I have been on. Very powerful and will honestly assist me in being a better leader. Thank you.
Effective Performance Conversations
Performance conversations often increase anxiety, and with only 14% of employees feeling inspired by reviews, it’s clear many miss the mark. Effective performance conversations should be a two-way exchange, leading to greater productivity, engagement and retention of key talent. Our program equips leaders for better outcomes through masterclass practice sessions. You’ll bring your own scenario or use a case study, working in small groups to practice delivering impactful performance conversations, while receiving expert feedback and coaching to ensure quality discussions.

You will learn how to:
-
Conduct quality performance conversations with team members
-
Structure feedback so employees feel the conversation was productive
-
Implement performance and mastery goals
-
Manage emotions as they arise
-
Practice difficult conversations
Goal setting – I found the planning module and format really helpful.
I wish I had attended this course a week ago.
Leading Effective Teams
This program is created specifically to build your skills to deliver a communication session with your team using DiSC on Catalyst, a system that provides insights into your team's culture and reveals pathways to an improved culture. Both you and your team members will complete individual DiSC on Catalyst profiles prior to the session and these will then be used to unpack effective ways to empower your team, encourage them to own their actions, and build an effective team.
I found it interesting and useful. I gained so many takeaways and a greater understanding of the different personalities of colleagues.
Impactful Career Conversations
Dynamic organisations have employees who set goals, look to advance their careers, and take opportunities to skill up on the job. Our program helps leaders identify diverse career paths, including how to explore other roles for their employees, grow their skills on the job, and enrich their current roles. You will walk away from this program with useful assets and tools you can apply immediately to your workplace.

You will learn how to:
-
Explain what career development means
-
Use structured conversation frameworks to identify your team member's career aspirations and support them to develop their career actions
-
Demonstrate conversation skills within the context of a career development conversation
Employees who strongly agree they have had career conversations with their manager in the past six months about their goals and successes are 2.8 x more likely to be engaged.
